The Motherboard

Myths and Legends of the PC – Part 1 “The integrated motherboard” Our first myth is: “The motherboard does not have to be integrated.” Virtually no week passes without someone coming to our store to find out prices of computers and ask the classic “integrated Yel’s mother?” Because I said it best with everything separately. ” When asked the reason for that statement, here are some answers: Because if you break one of the components I have to change the whole plate because it so I can put the plates that I want instead of those that just works. Consider the response to these objections “Because if you break a plate I have to change the whole picture”: Not true. If it breaks the video card or audio, or modem or network card, I can always add one as the plates have sockets for this purpose. “Because you so I can put the plates that I want instead of those that just works.” It is also false, because if I do not like some of the plates that come I can replace the one I want to put one of the sockets, and canceling the next on board. If the subject of cost, in general the plates are not integrated out sometimes even more expensive than the integrated (for a reason to be discussed later).

I could slightly understand this argument if it were a professional who needs plates with very particular specifications, and is able to distinguish subtle differences between plates. But overall this is not the case, and the plates that are integrated are more than adequate for the use which will give the team. We have even seen cases where the user by following this myth have bought equipment with non-integrated panels of lower quality than the integrated. In fact, I am of the opinion that the integrated plates are better than non-integrated. On the one hand the trend toward miniaturization is not possible without integration. There would be no laptops, the Palm or cell phones.

yAlguna time someone asked the board to buy a TV that had, or if it was integrated with mother? Apor course not! EAs integrated whole! In terms of cost, integration and standardization allows scale is not possible otherwise. Finally, in an integrated board, design and includes plates so as to optimize the flow of data between them, while the non-integrated, there is always the possibility of incompatibilities, as well as added the passage of data through the socket which decreases performance. To illustrate the theme a little further, imagine that the question was raised for a car. yQue car you think will do better? A Ford factory that comes with all parts of Ford, or a car “not integrated” with a body made of Ford, Fiat engine, carburetor and distributor of Renault Chevrolet? I think in this case there is no doubt that would be the first, right? Why should it be different with a computer? Well, so are the myths and legends of the PC.
